To close your spending account, you’ll need to contact Dave’s customer support team. You can reach them via chat Monday - Saturday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST.
Just so you know though, if you close your spending account, you won’t be able to reopen it. If you want to open a new account, you’ll need to pass a new security check and have no negative balances, write-offs, or fraud closures from previous Dave accounts.
When you close the account, any leftover money in the spending account will be mailed to the address you have listed with the spending account.
So we highly recommend withdrawing or transferring the money from your account before you close it so you don’t have to wait for it to arrive in the mail. It usually takes 2+ weeks for checks to be delivered.
